Can I skip the sparging step?
We always recommend sparging as this will allow you to extract as much of the sugars from the grain as possible – giving you a higher gravity and greater efficiency.
However, you can choose to leave this step out if you wish.
If using the app/desktop recipe creator - you will need to select the 'no sparge' setting on your equipment profile, which will then adjust the amount of mash water needed for the recipe.
Otherwise, ensure you adjust your calculations in your recipe to suit.
