How do I avoid exposing my beer to oxygen when using the GCA and Pressure Transfer Kit with my SF50/SF70?
We know that the presence of oxygen in beer can contribute to the degradation of the beer's flavour and overall quality.
To avoid any unnecessary oxidisation when using the GCA Kit and Pressure Transfer Kit with your SF50 or SF70, our brewing team recommend the following:
After your fermentation is complete, remove the airlock from its place in the bung at the top of your fermenter and replace with a CO₂ hose where the airlock sat (fig. 1).
Note: The segment of hose connected to the Pressure Transfer body (fig. 2) does not detach from the body. You will need to source a separate hose to attach to the other end of the needle valve and the airlock hole, respectively.

From there, use the needle valve to apply a small amount of pressure (~1 psi) and transfer your beer out of your fermenter using the sample valve.
