If your GF30, GCA (Glycol Chiller Adapter), G40 or G70 controller screen has gone blank during an update, this can be caused by a poor/ weak Wi-Fi signal.
- Leave the unit on and place it as close to your Wi-Fi router as possible to ensure a strong connection, and try to allow the firmware update to complete the update.
- Please note that it can take a few hours or more.
- If you are still having issues, please reach out to our Customer Support by providing the following:
- If you turn the power off to the unit and then turn it back on to reboot the controller, does the screen show the Grainfather logo and normal UI for a short amount of time before going white, or is it only white the whole time?
- Before the screen went blank, were you able to successfully connect the controller to a Wi-Fi network and control it using the app?
- If yes, did you update the firmware to the latest version?
- What kind of Wi-Fi setup are you using? i.e., are you using any Wi-Fi extenders? What is the distance from the modem to the unit? What brand of modem are you using?
- Grainfather account username
- Serial number
- Proof of purchase
