We always recommend sparging as this will allow you to extract as much of the sugars from the grain as possible – giving you a higher gravity and greater efficiency.
However, you can choose to leave this step out if you wish.
If you are using the desktop/app recipe creator you will need to enable this on the equipment tab, by:
- Changing the controller type to a manual controller:
- Then toggle to 'No Sparge':
Otherwise, ensure you adjust your calculations in your recipe to suit.
