Please advise the following information. Often, the boiler no longer heating could be the reset switch underneath the unit has tripped.
- Please provide the Purchase Order (PO) Number, which can be found on the back of the controller. This number helps us identify your specific unit and verify your purchase details.
- Kindly locate and share the Serial Number of your boiler. This number is typically found underneath the base of the boiler on a thin white sticker.
- Have you attempted to press the reset switch located on the base of the boiler while the unit is powered on? After pressing the reset, try turning off the boiler at the wall socket, wait a moment, and then turn it back on to see if the issue persists. This step can often resolve minor operational glitches.
- Check if there is any visible burning or scorching on the bottom of the boiler. This is a crucial observation, as it may indicate an electrical or heating element fault. For more detailed information, please refer to our article titled "Why is my heating element not working, it's not heating at all?", which explains common causes and troubleshooting tips.
- Examine the red switch located at the base of the boiler. Is it set to the "O" (off) or "I" (on) position? Additionally, check if the switch is illuminated when the unit is powered. This can help determine if the unit is receiving power correctly.
- Are you currently using the original control box or the Bluetooth Control box? Knowing this helps us identify potential compatibility or connectivity issues.
- Please try testing the unit by filling it with only water. Attempt to bring the water to a boil and observe what happens. This simple test can help isolate whether the heating element is functioning properly without other variables.
- Another test you can perform is to fill the unit with water and then plug the heating element’s power plug directly into a wall socket, bypassing the control box entirely. Does the heating element heat up under these conditions? This helps determine if the control box might be the source of the problem.
- If the heating element still does not heat when plugged directly into a wall socket, please carefully unscrew the lid located under the base of the mash tun and take clear photos of the heating element. These images will assist our technical team in diagnosing the issue more accurately.
- Attached to this message, you will find a heating check guide designed to be used with a multimeter. If you are comfortable performing this electrical test, it would greatly aid us in pinpointing the exact cause of the problem. Please make sure that the unit is completely disconnected from any power source before you carry out this test to ensure your safety.
- If, after following these steps, the issue still persists, we encourage you to reach out to our customer service team for further assistance. Our team is ready to help resolve your problem as quickly as possible.
