The G30 brewing unit features a boil dry protection system (safety cut out) which will automatically switch off the element if the water level is too low.
To reset the safety cutout:
- Switch the G30 off and unplug the unit
- Empty out any liquid and press the reset button located at the bottom, underneath the boiler.
It is important to scrub the bottom of your G30 when cleaning if there is anything stuck to it. If you do not, then any spots of proteins may create heat spots, also causing the G30 to cut out. It will continue to cut out until this debris is removed.
At the start of the boil, some nutrients/proteins may collect on the base, and it is important to disperse them by lightly scraping the element on the base of the boiler with your paddle. Also, do this every now and then during the boiling process to minimise protein build-up to avoid the cut out in the first place.
